Sharks Ski Club provides a professional, affordable learning environment for all skiers every Saturday Morning from 9am until 11am at Swadlincote Snowsports Centre.
Our Saturday morning sessions are aimed at helping all abilities; from someone who wants to tweak their skills ready for a holiday in the alps, through to individuals preparing for competition.
Our minimum age is 6 years, but we have no maximum age limit. Members under the age of 18 years old must have an adult present during the session.
Our FUNdamental principals aim to provide affordable skiing for everyone, regardless of age or ability.
Our Sessions are structured and adhere to SnowSport England Guidelines and the Club is SnowMark Accredited.
We offer 2 membership free sessions (excluding slope fees ) to see for yourself before you decide to become a member.
We are a Family Orientated Ski Club.
Our Main Session is at Swadlincote Snowsport Centre every Saturday Morning 9am to 11am.
Sharks Ski Club caters for skiers of all abilities from 6 years of age.
Beginner Skier: We can teach you from putting on your boots for the first time, right up to participating in races.
Established Skier: Our expert team of instructors will help you to improve your technique.
Looking for something new: Come and join us for one of our Race or Mogul Sessions.
Other sessions, as advertised on our website and Facebook page.
Do you teach beginners?
We Do !!!! We take all comers from the age of 6 upwards. You will start off on the nursery slope and develop those new skiing skills under the watchful eyes of our instructor team and when ready, join the rest of the Sharks family on the main slope and integrate into one of our groups where you will make new friends week on week.
We follow established and structured teaching styles that are taught all over the world, just with that bit of sharks sparkle
How Do I Join?
If you have questions about joining the Club, please Contact Us.
You are invited to come along for an “Introductory Session” first, so that you can decide if skiing in a club environment is for you. It also gives us a chance to assess your skiing ability and so decide which of our groups you should be in.
Introductory sessions do need to be booked in advance. At busy times we may need to limit the number of “intros” per Sharks session. Parents/guardians are requested to stay during the session.
How much does it cost?
The cost for a single member to join the club is £25 per membership year then each additional family member is just £15 each
The membership year runs from October 1st. to 30th September.
Sessions cost:
Child: £10.00 slope fees (to the centre) + £2.50 club subs per person.
Adult: £12.50 slope fees (to the centre) + £2.50 club subs per person.
Important bit for Parents!
The minimum age is 6 years, but members of all ages are encouraged, including adults.
Parents or guardians of children under 10 are required to stay at the ski slope for the duration of the session. If your (older) child is to be left unaccompanied, please ensure that we have access to a telephone
number where you can be reached in case of emergency.
Many parents stay and watch their children ski, offering support and encouragement, and meeting with other parents. We often find once your children find their feet, parents join in too. We have a thriving adults contingent.
Important bit for Juniors!
