Cameron Parr

Alpine Level 1 Coach and Committee member. I started snowboarding in the late 80’s at Glenshee and only started skiing after taking my kids to Sharks in 2011.  I  converted to skiing after trying to keep up with the kids, but i’m not sure I will ever catch them.  I am a licenced FA coach and referee. I convinced Sharks members to complete Movember 2020 with a tashtastic  effort for

Kim O’Hara

Child Welfare Officer:  I first started skiing as an adult.  My husband, John, always loved skiing and longed to get back onto the slopes.  He persuaded me to go skiing when the kids were young on the promise that if I didn’t like it then I wasn’t going again.  Well, the kids and I loved it, skiing through the mountains on a beautiful sunny day and we were hooked.  We

Club Captains: Meg – I have been skiing for around 9 years and have such a strong love for it. Throughout my time skiing, I have been a part of the snow sport England moguls academy, and taken part in multiple races. I also really enjoy instructing and I hope to pass on my enthusiasm for the sport to younger members of the club!  Fin – I joined sharks in

Andy Cresswell

Club Secretary Not been skiing for long but hooked. After a year in the cafe watching Dylan ski with the Sharks, I decided to try the level 1 instructors course so I could help out if needed and hopefully gain a few skills to enable me to keep up on the slopes. The keeping up hasn’t worked but learning a lot and having fun anyway! I spend the week in

Nick Hill

Always try to be on time but was very late to finally start skiing. After a childhood of watching Ski Sunday my first go on planks was in my mid 40s when as a family we were able to give Tom and Molly the opportunity to ski that we never had as children.  Professional designer and photographer who likes to do things right. Passed Cycling Proficiency first time and like

I didn’t start skiing until I was an adult, after a spectacularly failed attempt by Cam to make me a snowboarder – now both kids are much better skiers than I will ever be. Professionally I have worked at BT and Openreach for 20 years, and am a qualified CIMA accountant. Currently Head of Finance supporting a business with more than 12k of engineers who connect and maintain the UKs

Lucy Ridgeway

As a secondary school teacher, I am certainly not frightened of a challenge. It was through school in 2014 I had my first experience of skiing. I started with a very brief introduction on the dry ski slope and had to progress quickly to the mountains in Italy where I had a ‘crash’ course in skiing. From that point, I joined Sharks and my ski technique has been continually improving

Barry Drummond

SSE Level 1, UKCP Level 1 and Vice Chair. I discovered skiing fairly late when my daughter Tanisha decided she wanted to learn so I learned to ski with her. Since then we’ve both become big enthusiasts. I love skiing and since qualifying as an instructor/coach absolutely love helping to bring the best out of our amazing members too.

Level 4 Coach, Level 2 Tutor Head Coach Skiing, the ski environment (be it in the mountains or in a fridge!) and ‘skiing people’ are all a constant source of adventure, excitement, exhilaration, fun and pleasure for me. I believe skiing enables an individual to find that ‘something else’ within themselves that equips them with a set of personal skills for life itself! My first experience on snow was in

Child Welfare Officer and SSE Level 1 (working towards Level 2) I first started skiing when I was at school on the old Sheffield dry slope. I then had a large break until adulthood. In 2015 I decided I wanted to get the family into skiing. This is when I discovered Sharks. We skied as a family for a few months and with the help of Shark we managed our first
